They made no mention of whether it was a live launcher and judging from the end caps...it looked used...but I could be wrong.

I think if it was live they would have made huge note of it.

There was one found in Jersey recently and it was a spent tube.

I'll tell you how serious the gov't takes the missile threat....about one week after 9-11 at PIT the county had all the trees on

approaches cut down like right now...that told me back then we had a serious MANPAD threat.

That was my best guess....but like I said I was a Boy Scout.....looked for one you guys who served and knew.

Sams to me look a lot sleeker not fat and sassy like something that would do in a tank.As a matter of fact,I ran a google news search on the 'Florida missile found' and some New Zealand news site had a pic of a stinger...so go figure....like I said...no mention either if it was a live launcher.
