Once the Americas were discovered by the Europeans the indigenous people didn’t stand a chance. You can blame it 'all' on Christianity if it makes you feel better but it was going to happen regardless of any religious influence or decisions.

Very True, many politicians ( and religious leaders ) use religion as a tool to manipulate people. That’s why I always question when someone throws out the ‘It is God’s Will’ mantra that at times is in direct conflict with Christianity.

I know it sucks what happened but I can not change it and hopefully it will never happen again (at least not on my part).

I'm just Sick and Tired of christian BULL shet. (I am a blue eyed white man, who for his first 57 years(of my 64) WAS an EPISCOPALIAN. THEN I suddenly awoke to find out, I'd been FED a line of SHET for those 57 years.

The Bible ?......................9/10.th's of that HISTORY book is "OLD TESTAMENT", with a MERE 1/10th New testament, which is SUPPOSE to CHANGE EVERYTHING !........................."YEAH, RIGHT"


Though they are long DEAD and Buried, and Never got to realize it,..................Emperor Constantine, John Calvin and Martin Luther,.................... were ALL ................MAGNUM CUM LAUDE..Graduates, from BMU !

Although I don't have figures for the American Jewish Synagogue attendees, or Muslim Mosques attendees, christian attendance is way-off in this country.
I attribute it to LESS people being BELIEVERS, and now Far More Comfortable believing in, (My) CREATOR....(your) GOD...(and someones) ALLAH, or whomever the buddahist/Hindu worship !!

Which most of us know, all has the SAME MEANING. The ONLY thing that ALL believe in,............a Higher Power !!!!

Not pretending to know NHBB's heart, many who fall away from the faith do so because they feel that God and their religion have deserted them in their time of need.

Frankly they are correct as often in their zeal to convert they ignore the needs of their members.

Long ago I was "Cured" of organized religion, but not my faith. In fact, for me the further away I moved from "Churchianity" the closer I came to God.

Ditto! I have a talk with Him daily expressing gratitude for His works and when I need help, He answers!

It is impossible to predict what would have happened had the settlers taken a different path. The fact of the matter is that religion was used as a way of dealing with the 'savages'. Take a native history class and you will find out what Christians did to the natives.

Then there is the Spanish inquisition, the Incas, Crusades, Salem Witch trials and ... well you get the point.

Thing is, I do not believe that the above actions are representative of what Christianity or religion in general is about. I believe the most followers of most organized religion have lost their way. Religion is being abused to control peoples lives and ruin others.

You are correct garfield. In addition Article 1, Section 2 states that the House of Representatives has the sole power of impeachment. Article 1, Section 3 states that the Senate shall have the sole power to try impeachments.

Let me type this slow so you can follow. Eric says Justice is blind. Garfield says no, its political and that the President picks a judge's and the senate confirms them. Then I added that The House can impeach a federal judge and the senate can convict them and keep them from holding any other federal office. See it is all political.
