Does anyone know what the arrangements are this year for heli ops during the F1 weekend in Montreal?

I've worked that weekend for the past few years, selling T-shirts
I remember three years ago CHL seemed to have the run of the place. The next year anyone with a ship came in. And last year was almost dead because NavCan wasn't controlling the commings and goings on the island (or so is my understanding as to why it was so quiet).

In any case I'd like to know if some of you will be flying in since I'll probably be working in one of the kiosks near the rowing basin. Drop by and I'll make you a deal on a one-size-fits-none, $30 T-shirt.

I don't know about the helicopter part of it but I sure wish Jacques Villeneuve got his sh-t together and started winning races again instead of that arrogant pr--k Shumacher
Especially in Montreal of all places!!!!!!!

In order for Jacques to win again races again He will need a team to drive for.

The latest rumour has Him returning to Williams next year.

BAR team page.

Jacques old team seems to be doing better without him. Funny how the engines don't seem to blow up with Button and Sato behind the wheel.

Didn't Sato's engine blow up in Monaco?

:elvis:  :elvis:

BTW: the same F1 web site also comments Jacques possible return next year with Williams.

Elvis, you are very right, Sato's engine blew early and knocked out some good drivers that could of kept the race interesting. Red Rules

Yes, I should have said "... engines don't seem to blow up as often with Button and Sato behind the wheel". Villeneuve had an aweful habit of blowing engines when he started losing the race, then badmouth the manufacturer (the people who fed him) afterwards.

Two engines in two weeks for Sato, plus a boneheaded attempt to pass Barrichello.

Maybe Jacques has been giving Him pointers.

barrichello said it best "very amateur move"......

i was quite impressed with sato's drive to that point. ahh well, learn from your mistakes eh?

and quite true there JBC.... RED RULES!!

as far as villeneuve and blown engines?? well i didn't see BAR up on the podium much last year...........

I've just started watching F1, and have become hooked!!!

It beats the sh$$ out of watching them moonshiners going around in circles with the chevy's and dodges. 😀

How much longer can m. schumacker and the Ferrari's dominate like that?

Anyways, I've mentioned this before. What would you guys think about tricking out a couple of 500's and having mile long drags? Rich man's sport of course. Bet people would pay to see that.

Also, amongst all the types of machines, which one would you guys pick to come out on top in a mile long drag - respecting limits of course!!! B)
