I was watching some YouTube videos of Su-37 and F-22 routines and got to thinking about some airshow performances that really stuck with me. Just wondering what performances you've seen that have really stuck with you?

The two that come to mind for me are:

- An F-15C demo that I saw back around 1990. There was just enough humidity for some really nice vortices. The way the F-15 could pull into a square corner after crossing the threshold at high subsonic was unbelievable. My ears are still ringing from the afterburners!

- A demo with two P-51Ds doing formation aerobatics. In one pass they did a simulated strafing run and one of the planes came so low that I thought he'd scrape his prop! For some reason I always remember the combination of the Merlins growling and the whistle from the air going through their radiators.

FLEET WEEK 2008 in San Francisco was awesome! Mind-blowing HALL OF FAME aerobatic aviator Sean D. Tucker was extreme performing with the Blue Angels!

I captured several short videos of FLEET WEEK 2008 and posted them on my YouTube Channel:

Wow, for me, it was the first time seeing the Canadian Snowbirds fly, our at NAWS Point Mugu back in 1995. It wasn't that high-charging high-speed rock concert of a show that you see with the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds. Rather, it was more of a graceful, formation-flying, ballet of sorts.

Sean D. Tucker's performances are always cool.

On the civilian side, the first time I saw Kirby Chambliss fly, back in 2005 at the Ft. Lauderdale Air and Sea Show, was also amazing. Prior to that time, I had only seen Chambliss's performances online. And in person, WOW, that was amazing!

Of course, there were also shows (unfortunately not on YouTube) that were before my time that I would have loved to see. Leo Loudenslager, Charlie Hillard, and Art Scholl are on the top of my list.
