Movie Called United 93

I am thinking about going to see it, but it will be in the daylight as ticket prices are cheap. I believe that all proceeds for the movie should go either to the families and/or the United 93 Memorial Fund that is being built in Shanksville Pa

Robbed, Excellent idea. I'd vote for the monies to be donated to the affected families, any leftovers could go towards a Monument. As far as a Monument, isn't some Senator already crying over this??? I doubt I'll go see the film for several reasons which won't do well to mention here. May the Families affected know, I hope, we all are touched by this tragic event and wish them well. This has got to be tough for anyone to see who watched TV that day.

United 93 the movie comes out this weekend and I would hope as airline employees that we will go out and see this movie as a way of support for our industry as a whole.
The terrorist targeted our industy. Many of us have suffered because of this.
The passengers on the plane however became true American heros and prevented many more lives from being lost.
So show your support and remember the families that lost loved ones on that day as well as the airline employees who died that day.
We must never forget those who died and thoes heros on that plane.

I would never see this movie. Not even a small chance. I received a call that morning from someone on the flight and that is all the information I'll ever need to know.

Most of the people I know (the ones that work at United) also have no plans to see it. It's different when your industry is attacked, but when you're personal friends are the victims, it makes the pain much more real.

You go see it, I'll stay home and continue to change the channel everytime a commercial comes on.

I dont recall hearing Senators saying anything against amonument. I do remember that a senator, forget which one, proposed a bill in which the 40 pax and crew would receive the highest medal in the Land,
I firmly believe that they should get it, the Congressional Gold Medal of Honor. I often wonder if the families knew just how much of heroes their loved ones are/were for winning the first battle on terror, even though they gave theirs up so that countless others can live on. Wonder if the moderators may be able help get a thing going were we can donate to the Flight 93 Memorial Fund project?

What would be the point in seeing it, since none of us will ever know what really happened on board that flight. Hollywood can dress it up all they want to sell tickets. In the end, it's nothing but speculation.

No one will ever really know what happened. IMHO this movie attempts to give some kind of closure for this event.

For us in the industry we have all been affected in a personal way, closure is a long time away.

I will never see this movie. It is one of those movies which says "based on a true stort". All that means is there is one or 2 facts in the movie and all the rest is Hollywood entertainment. I hope that the people who do see it, remember that this is 99% fiction. God bless the real heroes of UA 93. just my thoughts........

I believe that there is a texas congressman... some republican that doesn't want the Federal government buying land on principle... so he's blocking it (as some chairman of some approps sub committee, he can). However, from what I've read, republican leaders are leaning on him to lighten up.

It's called a free society. That's why you have a choice as to see it or not. It may not be the "morally correct" thing to do, but there will be people out there that want to see this movie. People outside the industry may have a curiosity as to what happened and this movie may just let them have a look inside.

It is telling the story of that day. Its called history. IT needs to be told. The events of that day are not private information. They were heros on the front line of the fight. A war was fought that day and the story should be heard. JMO.

I just went to see the movie United 93. Most of the actors on the flight are actual
crew members now with UAL. The Capt played the part and the flight attendant also.
Congrats... you did a good job. I went to pay my respect out of this to my fellow
crew members at both UAL and AA. 10% will be given to the memorial fund.. since
the stupid gov't can't get its act together to help fund the memorial for these crew memebers and passengers on board t his flight. The plays out
so many holes with the Mlitary and our gov't mistakes.

I am glad i went to see the movie, Now I know more about these crazy people
who took down our nation and what the real plans were.
