My How things change?

http://www.okhorizon...canAirlines.htm, My former classmate in high school made this little piece. There is more video's with American blowing smoke. Thanks Robby for making these Video's Public.Money to burn...Hero to zero, brick in the backpack....Now
I can't imagine why anyone would want to get INTO this industry - this brick thinks they're nuts.

Let the executives maintain their own aircraft, making use of some of that high-dollar talent they supposedly have. Anybody needing a job should look to energy or other facets of the transportation industry such as trains.

Stay away from aerospace unless you're desperate for work and then don't plan on a career in the business as it'll be pulled out from under you like a cheap rug by the never ending stream of strategic Chapter 11 filings due to airlines constantly trying to upstage each other.

I agree Frank,It's just all but made me laugh, this video was made in early 2011.There is more with management selling the operation just 6 months prior to BK,how there is just a brite future at AA for mechanic's.Plus just donating a S80...One of Four given away free...

I understand discouraging youngsters from entering the aircraft maintenance field, but I don't get the complaining about the donation of a used-up, worn-out MD-80 to a trade school. Or even all four of them. Probably in need of a heavy C check and thus has no market value beyond its scrap content.

The 80s being skinned with 7075 AL, they wouldn't even form well into beer cans.

It is my understanding that for now the outsourcing of especially the 757's is on hold when the current contracts are complete. The reason given: the company wanted the aircraft ready for revenue service and those aircraft have not met this requirement.
