Unsafe equipment is a way of life at JFK. It's all literally junk.

We can be our own worst enemies here.  I have seen equipment put out of service on one shift and sure enough someone on the next shift who wants a high speed takes it knowing full well it has been tagged out service.  We have even been told by automotive to put down "no brakes" on the tag along with the real reason just to increase the chances of it being left for automotive to work on.  Sad, real sad.
