All of the hiring in PHL and DCA, are these positions covered under the respective unions? Or are these considered "outsourced positions?"

They are not outsourced jobs, they are Fleet Service jobs under ther IAM/US Airways FSA Collective Bargaining Agreement. You have to join the union and pay dues as a condition of employment.

Was'nt the company's intent to outsouce fleet service? I work in res, so I am not really sure what is covered under "fleet service."

They can outsource 21 stations of the least active flight activity.

And the fleet jobs in those 21 cities will be non-union.

Maybe yes, Maybe be no, some of the vendors are unionized.

A this point, it is unknown (to the rank and file) who the vendors are.

I have speculated PSA only because it makes the most sense from a company point of view.

Does anyone know who the vendors are, and which of them are union?

Any of them IAM?

Which would be ironic - outsourcing IAM work, and replacing it with.....IAM work.

That should keep the conspiracy buffs busy!
