Here's what the BOS pilots think of all the hard working FA's, CSA, Rampers, Mech's and Dispatchers.

Questions and answers took place throughout the meeting and the members present got a boatload of information. Your humble, obedient servant gave my thoughts and impressions of what we need to achieve a contract worthy of our professional talents. Remember, they don’t make a dime unless and until you move the aircraft. Also, please remember that you are the sole source of revenue generation. Your professional actions bring the money to the Company. Everyone and everything else is a revenue drain, supported by your actions. Never forget that - you work in a CAREER… not a job.

What an arrogant thing to say.

Guess there's no reason for me to open a sales report when I go to work on Tues then, right? :censored:

Sure thing..as if that's the actual intent of that message. See listings under "Nice Try"...but, what can one expect from anyone so entirely and exclusively "West-Pilot-Brained" who, when momentarilly not engaged in slinging "items" from the monkey cage against all things East, previously posted:

Elevation: Posted on: Jul 18 2008, 12:20 AM: "I did "Planet of the Apes" instead."..and, of course..the vaunted AWA "Booyashaka" ... and you want more...lol...bring it" ...".aww poor mesa"..and countless other "enlightened" little gems. I think it proper to end with one of his/her own finest tributes to other employee groups,....posted to a flight attendant =

Elevation: "You post on a web board looking for life advice from strangers and you say I can't give advice because I don't know you who you are? Are you taking sedatives? You ask for honesty, you got it... now you are offended because I didn't give you the Oprah nuzzle. boohoo. Get over yourself."

Personally..I think we're all in this mess together...regardless of whether or not given fools seek to drive wedges between all our groups. Some out west don't "get that" just yet, and will offer up whatever sabotage they can.

It wasn't the intent but is shows the mindset.

I'm a pilot and no passenger has ever handed me a dollar of revenue.

A large number of pilots, especially USAPA supporters, have a warped view of reality.

No Sir/Ma'am..there most certainly IS a very good reason for you to do so = Without all of us..no airplane actually moves anywhere with revenue paying people aboard.

I should have been more generous in my above posting "Some on either coast" will offer up whatever sabotage they can

No matter..the pilot groups will never have any "Love Fest" going on..but we all need to do what we do on the line....or all of us will be without the airline.

For what 2 cents it's worth; For any that know me in real, non -board life?....I'll honestly state that a common observation of mine to the FA's/Gate Agents/Mechanics/Ramp Staff is "I just don't know how you guys manage to do what you do with these conditions...I couldn't" No BS whatsoever on my part.

I personally know EastUS. I have the utmost respect and trust in this aviator. I also know numerous others on this site personally and most if not all know running an airline is a team effort. We are each a vital link in this operation. Without us (everyone of the employees) doing our jobs we will not succeed in this industry.

I completely agree, Joe. 100%

I have met several pilots and a good majority (over 98%), BOTH East AND West are real troopers, professionals in their trade (I'm doing flight training right now on my meager wages, slow, but surely tooling ahead, to eventually do the same). They're real team players. Union issues aside, all of us are on the same team, regardless of work group.

I have met one or two who are rather controlling and demeaning towards airport agents, and I'm sure that the pilot who made that statement, that employees are a drain on revenue, is one of them. A really small minority (small but vocal). One even cursed at me after boarding a flight (but that was that one incident, hasn't happened again, and hopefully, won't).

Not to exclude other work groups (since I do customer service for a certain unnamed airline that we all have in common), I didn't think I could do it either when I was hired, but I do it...every day. But what I do (and I think that it's only me with this little fantasy of mine that I've had from childhood) is I keep my goal in sight. Working towards eventually flying with some of you. Not as a passenger, or as a flight attendant, but as a first officer (so save some room in the right seat when we hire again in a couple years).

That being said, I don't agree with the quoted statement (the first one on the thread, where everyone else is a "revenue drain"). I do feel that it is a slap in the face to their fellow co-workers in-flight and on the ground. And that's being said regardless of this being an East/West issue. I know there is a lot of conflict between both pilot groups right now. And a lot of conflict between management and your union (regardless of East/West) as seen by the latest crew news in CLT.

Regardless of coast, I do ask that you save some room in the right seat for me one of these days. (And sorry about banking off topic).

Looks like it pertains to the flight operations end of things...mainly the "coming down" on the pilots. Since "Just Call Me Dave" told them it's not a career anymore, its a job, it seems as though the pendulum is starting back. Let's hope so.

That's extremely kind of you Sir..Thank you...and the same back atcha' 😉 The real point, as you/I hopefully, and properly made clear..is that we're ALL of us in this mess together...PERIOD. Half"wits" like Elevation serve no purpose other than theri own "It's ALL about MEEE!" agendas.

Indeed...all things change with time.

Not another East vs West pilot thread!!

Don't insult the messenger with name calling please. What was the actual meaning of this statement from the BOS pilots besides elitism? (if you wish to defend it) Why are the other employees less important than the BOS pilots?
