Nick Aaronson memorial video

I understand that the Airport Fire Dept had wanted to do a water cannon arch, but the airport said no.

Here is another touching gesture: a memorial FB page set up by employees of Ryan Air.

When I click on the above link, it looks very strange. Are you sure this is not some sort of phishing scam? Normally when I click a FB link and I am signed in it takes me right to the link...

Here is the link I found:

What a wonderful letter. Not to take the thread where it shouldn't go, however I think it important to note that when US Airways puts it's best face forward it comes as no surprise to those who know her that Ms Deborah Thompson was the driving force in a very bad situation. There is no good way to get a Body released. No good way to do anything under the circumstances presented. There is however a right way. Deborah always seems to know the right way, just as she did with the "Splash Landing".

I was touched beyond words by the scene at Sky Harbor as they brought the young man home. It reinforces EVERYTHING I've been saying about US since 2000. It's the people who count and are willing to be counted as they were in PHX. Doing the right thing is almost never easy but this time from top to bottom US got it right.

None of us can bring Mr Aronson back, We would not if we could as he is in a better place.

Well said Sparrow..
I obviously was not In PHX but a tip of my hat to the west on their turnout.

The BOS base used to go to the BOS city hospital in full uniform (rundown section of BOS) every year over christmas...
It was a great experience to be there..
I remember one year when I kneeled down to give a package of tonka cars to a child who was having a rough go ...
and seeing his Mothers's shoes as I was down there.... hardly able to call them shoes.....

made my day to be able to put a smile on the kids face.....

Good stuff! No less than Jesus said it best, "Whatsoever you do unto the least of my Brethren you do unto me also". Nick was certainly not the least of our brethren, but he was as we all are, a child of God and to treat him otherwise would say far more about us than him.

As an aside, back when America made things , Tonka Toys was founded in the town where I now live.

I never had the chance to know this young man, but have friends who were lucky enough to do so. The speak highly of him and grieve his tragic death.

I flew with him just last month and remember him because of his response to my question of his wearing a badge backer about a new contract. He was a very pleasant young man. THANK YOU for posting this and looking out for one of our own.
