Third, they have handed this market to DL on a platter. DL didn't even have to make an effort. They simply just handed to them. One of these days the Barbie jets will come back to bite all who have used them.
I am truly sorry to read of this and wish the best to all my friends who work there.

Folks..we are in the midst of a major merge...I can easily see PHX and or LAS mainline service for MSP,DTW and BUF.MarkMyWords said:So very sad.....another one of the many stations that have been expressed. With the mainline fleet count headed from 280 to 220, I am afraid you are going to see a lot more of this. Stations like MSP, DTW, GSO, ILM, SAV, CHS, ALB, ROC, BUF, SYR, etc could all see only 1-2 mainline flights a day.

MarkMyWords said:That is after full integration. For right now the big drive is to reduce head count on the US side so that when we integrate fully, there will be minimal losses on the AWA side.....which is cheaper labor because there are less topped out employees. In the interim, US stations will continue to see a change in service and possibly status (mianline to mainline -express) I wonder what the provision will be in the contract for former Mainline stations that go Mainline Express and then after the merger will be back to mainline?
