What's new

NW AUCTION

the name of the new shop could be Jenny's Work Shop!

The motto could be this:

The Experience is where it all begins!

The suggestion still sounds like hipocracy to me.

Jenny, would the shop resell equipment or do actual work?

Would the shop be unionized? AND, would you shop do outsourced work? If it didn't do outsourced work, just exactly where would you get the work?

Well this is just hypothetical. I see it as a good opportunity for a group of people to start a business.

If powers beheld me I would hire those nice guys who are on srike that have the experience and skill set that I need.
(you are sounding like a jounalist) Large enough employees then I wouldn't mind union shop. System of check and balance need to be instilled however, for those who had been on the flip side we all know unions do cost company more money than without a union. Where we get the work would be from networking and doing some heavy research and footstomping.

-depends on what it is, of course. I use to like restoring cars.......................

Your too late, 'finny ole boy' bought that one already... 😉
The heck you gonna do with that? Use it as pancake syrup? Put it in your bathroom so you remember what the airplane lav smells like? dab some behind the ear for a phermone and hope that you snag something? Blech.

After all these years of being around airplanes it turns my stomach when I see kids drinking that blue gatorade, it looks just like lav juice.

Hell I don't know, perhaps the bean man can make some snow cones and pass'em off as coconut flavored... :cold:

maybe it'll be sold on ebay as a "health tonic" and "promote healthy bacteria in the intestine" or something. Makes you become "regular" instead of "stuck"

So, would your work come from outsourcing, replacing people on strike, new to the industy work, or something else?

I don't think you've really thought through where the work would come from.

I said hypothetical and also opportunity for someone else.
Don't think you read the thread through either.

I think you just advocated outsourcing.
I think you are putting words in my mouth.

I don't remember what the items are anymore but you can do goverment contracting on certain things. My friend puts bids in and makes $$$$$$$$.
You can do car restoration. You can be like American Chopper and make custom bikes. You can make custom planes (?) or custom limos (making Hummer limos). Working for someone else never makes you wealthy. Doing your own business does. Why not gather a bunch of friends and work together and make a positive thing out of it? Make lemons into lemonade.
