Nwa Guests'

Dea, How I wish you could be here to see the gluttony that was going on here. NWA wants about another 530 mechanics, we are supposed to get 180 of those. I don't know what they are going to do with them all. Even adding another shift and reducing the hours of the two existing shifts does not account for that large of a number. Do you not question why AMFA did not hold a second vote just before the strike? Do you not ask why the members were not allowed to vote on the second offer? Do you think AMFA should have requested further negotiations when they were told NWA was going to hire scabs for permanent positions? Why do you think AMFA is holding a vote for the last and most miserable offer? Do you honestly think AMFA has acted in its member’s best interest? I have taken no ones job, most jobs here were by union design. I myself will probably only be here a couple of more weeks, I am very much looking forward to going home. I leave behind a stronger company that will hopefully someday justfully employ more people that will be committed to the company instead of an overzealous union.

I actually feel sorry for PTO. Just look at the number of his postings and his registration date? It is obvious that the person has no life.....his time is split between scabbing and being locked up in a guarded hotel!! What a life, sounds no different than a white collar prison. The walls of that hotel sound as though they are closing in on him!! Home and family hundreds of miles away!! He ventures to this website as it seems to be all he has.....enjoys starting topics to get responses just to give him something to do to pass the time until his shift starts.

No need to feel sorry for me AP this is just business as usual. Your assumption of my day is actually pretty accurate, these twelve-hour days are indeed getting old. We are told we can expect to see some eight-hour days soon but I'm not holding my breath. Once hump day is over with it doesn't bother me so much and when I get that check I forget all about the last week. This will be over in two to four weeks so I'm not really worried about it. I shall be home before Thanksgiving and will take the rest of the year off. My son and I will spend the holiday week either white perch fishing or shooting ducks. It’s really not so bad because I take a lot of time off during the year. This has been a thoroughly enlightening experience and I have enjoyed every moment here. There aren't many jobs that I go on and feel that I am going to miss, I am going to miss this job for sure. I have been asked to roll over many times now and each time gets harder and harder to say no. If I knew that Northwest would guarantee me a four day work week I would roll over in a heartbeat. However I know that is not going to happen so I am not even going to bother. If they ever decide to bring in contractors again I shall be first inline.

Just what is your purpose announcing your are a SCAB? It seems you enjoy the misfortunes of others.

Gear Up, it is a very long story as to how I came to announce myself as a scab and you are coming in at the very end of it. It is all archived in the Northwest Airlines Forum. Just for your information, I do not enjoy the misfortunes of others nor do I have any sympathy for blind ignorance.

Do you care to introduce yourself?
