The following list came from Investor's Business Daily a few years back. One year in, nothing had been accomplished. And now, IBD has apparently removed the list from their website. Glad I saved it...

Taxes

1. Give a tax break to 95% of Americans.
2. Restore Clinton-era tax rates on top income earners.
3. "If you make under $250,000, you will not see your taxes increase by a single dime. Not your income taxes, not your payroll taxes, not your capital gains taxes. Nothing."
4. Dramatically simplify tax filings so that millions of Americans will be able to do their taxes in less than five minutes.
5. Give American businesses a $3,000 tax credit for every job they create in the U.S.
6. Eliminate capital gains taxes for small business and startup companies.
7. Eliminate income taxes for seniors making under $50,000.
8. Expand the child and dependent care tax credit.
9. Expand the earned income tax credit.
10. Create a universal mortgage credit.
11. Create a small business health tax credit.
12. Provide a $500 "make work pay" tax credit to small businesses.
13. Provide a $1,000 emergency energy rebate to families.

Energy

14. Spend $15 billion a year on renewable sources of energy.
15. Eliminate oil imports from the Middle East in 10 years.
16. Increase fuel economy standards by 4% a year.
17. Weatherize 1 million homes annually.
18. Ensure that 10% of our electricity comes from renewable sources by 2012.

Environment

19. Create 5 million green jobs.
20. Implement a cap-and-trade program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
21. Get 1 million plug-in hybrids on the road by 2015.

Labor

22. Sign a fair pay restoration act, which would overturn the Supreme Court's pay discrimination ruling.
23. Sign into law an employee free choice act — aka card check — to make it easier for unions to organize.
24. Make employers offer seven paid sick days per year.
25. Increase the minimum wage to $9.50 an hour by 2009.

National security

26. Remove troops from Iraq by the summer of 2010.
27. Cut spending on unproven missile defense systems.
28. No more homeless veterans.
29, Stop spending $10 billion a month in Iraq.
30. Finish the fight against Osama bin Laden and the al-Qaida terrorists.

Social Security

31. Work in a "bipartisan way to preserve Social Security for future generations."
32. Impose a Social Security payroll tax on incomes above $250,000.
33. Match 50% of retirement savings up to $1,000 for families earning less than $75,000.

Education

34. Demand higher standards and more accountability from our teachers.

Spending

35. Go through the budget, line by line, ending programs we don't need and making the ones we do need work better and cost less.
36. Slash earmarks.

Health care

37. Lower health care costs for the typical family by $2,500 a year.
38. Let the uninsured get the same kind of health insurance that members of Congress get.
39. Stop insurance companies from discriminating against those who are sick and need care the most.
40. Spend $10 billion over five years on health care information technology.

To keep this from becoming a free-for-all... can I suggest that you try and address them individually (by number), and not shotgunned in a single post.

(Ooops. Used the word shotgun. Better tell #AttackWatch.... )

OH my god. Call the press. A politician lied. This must be the first time in recorded history a politician did not fulfill their promises. And go figure, the first time it ever happened it ends up being a democrat. Good job eolesen, you should get a Pulitzer Prize for uncovering this.

So what? You bible thumping right wing loons got nobody to beat him. What a clown show the republicans have trotted out so far. Tea bag the Tea party  Four more years!

Sure about that?

Poll: Rick Perry surges as Obama’s approval ratings nose-dive
Perry is statistically tied with Obama, who earned his lowest job approval rating ever in a Quinnipiac poll.

You seem to think, as many of the left think that Obama has all of the votes by default.

Here's a clue: He doesn't.

Interesting! Funny thing is that I can post video after video on here dating from 1988 to present of one politician who's message has NEVER changed.

A point of view that has never been altered to fit the latest poll.

A point of view that has been shown to be accurate based upon his prediction

A point of view based upon principle, not popularity

A point of view that is gaining support as each of his predictions (Some made in '88) have come to pass

A man of principle who will not take his congressional pension, a man who has not come to Washington to cash in but a man who came to Washington to promote and encourage our government to follow the Constitution. A man whose time has come.

I know it's easier to talk about Ron Paul or Rick Perry, but this isn't about them. It's about Obama and his promises.

What has he actually delivered on from that list?

Maybe your question in the last line of your post tells you why people post about Ron Paul and others?

Could it be that for a large portion of the electorate they've adopted an "Anybody But Obama" Stance and therefore no one cares what specifics promise he broke? Considering he has broken every promise he's made except to run for reelection isn't rehashing his abject failure as POTUS just so much rearranging of deck chairs on the Titanic?

That list would have to have congressional action to take place. A President can propose many things, but if congress cannot break the gridlock, then nothing happens.

...unless you are a libertarian dictator :p

Then don't promise what you can't deliver! Basic premise of business is to under promise and over deliver. This would explain a great deal since the Back Bench Junior Senator posing as President has never had to solicit business, make a payroll or comply with his own policies AND turn a profit.

So sayeth the Libertarian Dictator

But Obama held control over all three branches of the US government.

How do you address that?

How about a marxist dictator?

He's already on record wishing he could circumvent Congress.

National emergency would/will be the icing on the cake.

He had both chambers for two years, and accomplished less than Nancy and Harry did with their 100 Day Plan.

It s difficult to gauge his success/failure since you have still failed to post equivalents from the previous 4 or 5 administrations.

Not talking about 4 or 5 Administrations, talking about the current one and ir sucks,

He is an epic failure! There are between 13 and 20 million who know this up close and personal as they look for a job. Couple that with untold millions working 3 to 4 part time jobs just to survive never mind thrive and you get a pretty significant body of evidence of his failure. If that's not enough sidle up to the gas pump and shell nearly double for regular.

Then watch the hidden tax of commodity inflation raise your grocery bill by 20% caised by non stop deficit spending and you have another 4 trillion reasons that he is a failure. No need for comparisons with others, His work speaks for itself.
