Oklahoma and Satan

As stated earlier, reading Tree's signature tells you why he/she even started this topic!
And, I guess, as long as the Devil worshipers are allowed to erect their monument to Satan, Tree will be happy... Wait..... Isn't Devil worshiping a religion? Damn it, either way, you lose Tree!
Pay attention Southwind. Stop being so obtuse.

He said that if a Christian symbol is allowed on public land/property, then any other type of worship or religion should be allowed on said property under the COTUS.

""Those who do wrong are responsible for what they do; those who speak about it are not. It is easy to defend freedom of speech when the message is something many people find at least reasonable. But the defense of freedom of speech is most critical when the message is one most people find repulsive".

Man are you dense. Again, this has nothing to do with religion. It has to do with equality. Either any one can have a monument or no one can.

Never mind that per the 1st no one should but I think the courts will fix that oversight.

The "10 commandments" on public property is no more a Christian symbol than "In GOD We Trust" is on Federal Notes and coins. Is the American Flag a symbol of Christianity because we plead an allegiance to "one nation under GOD"? Where's the outrage from Atheist to remove these "religious" symbols from public property?

It strikes me as a bizarre twist of Atheist beliefs to advocate the placement of a satanic religious monument on public property. Make no mistake, this is Ms Tree's way of vilifying Christian and Christianity instead of his absolute and sincere belief of "equal representation" under the constitution.

One thing for sure and true to the Atheist motto: Wherever there is mirth or joy or warm seasonal tidings, there will be an Atheist there to pee all over it.

Atheist owe their very existence to God, without a God there would be no Atheist. As for religion, where would be no God if there were no Satan.

The fact that they are just trying to prove a point is lost on you isn't it.  I seriously doubt that the Satanic group wants to waste $20k on a stupid monument.  They are doing this to point out the fact that the 10 commandments should not be on public property in the first place and the the argument of 'religious freedom' that the right used to put the monument there in the first place is not something they believe in when it comes to beliefs that they do not agree with.

You do not know jack about me.  As I have said countless times, I have no issue with what anyone wants to believe so long as it is not done at the publics expense.  The COTUS and the courts are quite clear about the separation of church and state.

God and money

Dear Sir: No nation can be strong except in the strength of God, or safe except in His defense. The trust of our people in God should be declared on our national coins. You will cause a device to be prepared without unnecessary delay with a motto expressing in the fewest and tersest words possible this national recognition. It was found that the Act of Congress dated January 18, 1837, prescribed the mottoes and devices that should be placed upon the coins of the United States.”

There goes that theory up in smoke.  People believe the country was founded on Christian principles.  Christians are the majority in the US.  Who exactly do you think is advocating "god on the currency?  The Muslims?

As for the pledge, if God is not in there as a religious symbol, why was the pledge altered?  Why did the Knights of Columbus start putting God in the pledge in the early 50's?  Who do you think Langmack is and why do you think he asked Truman to put 'under God" in the pledge?  Docherty, a pastor at Eisenhowers church gave a sermon saying that putting God in the pledge would separate us from the rest of the world.

These were all Christians advocating the changes to the money and the pledge.  They were not Hindus, Muslims or Jews but Christians.  To argue that the insertion of God in to so many facets of American life is not an extension of Christianity into American life is just plain stupid.

In a short search,

OK school district removed the 10 commandments.

Roy Moore in AL was forced to remove the 10 commandments.

KY was forced by the SCOTUS to remove the 10 commandments from the school rooms.

Seems like most the examples are in the South.  Go figure.

How could you know why I started it if you don't even know what the issue is?

I find it laughable that the 10 Commandments were written for the Jews and the clueless Christians take offense! Only in America can't people render unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar and get p!$$#d off when Caesar dictates to their church.

You can say this is all about State vs. Church all day long Tree, but in your eyes this is all about, hopefully, Christianity taking a hit!
We all know Libtards believe Christians are to blame for everything !
Really enjoy how the Libtard Media is all into LaQueshia Tomlislin doing the Dirty Bird after a touchdown but, let a white Dude kneel down and say a quick prayer, after a TD and all hell breaks lose. So excuse me for seeing through your thin veil of bait n' switch!

I love how you assume to know what I am thinking. Believe what ever makes you feel good. I don't watch sports so no idea what you are referring to. I have no beef with any religion regardless what fantasies you choose to believe in. The only thing I have a beef with is when the zealots try to take private beliefs and put them in the public sector.

Easy question. Do you believe that the Satanic group should be allowed to place their monument or should the 10 commandments be removed?
