Oklahoma and Satan

Outside of the school context, there is no bright-line test for 10 Commandments cases. Since 2005 the SCOTUS has had little interest in revisiting the constitutionality of public displays of the 10 Commandments other than on a case by case basis. In the state you in, the SCOTUS found the public property display of the 10 Commandments constitutional (Van Orden v. Perry).

If you want to know why states like Texas and Oklahoma legally display the 10 Commandments on State (public) property, I suggest you read up on The Free Exercise Clause, The Establishment Clause, The Fourteenth and Tenth Amendments, then you may come close to understanding why the SCOTUS won't be touching the issue any time soon.

Feel free to throw more hissy fits.

Really enjoy how the Libtard Media is all into LaQueshia Tomlislin doing the Dirty Bird after a touchdown but, let a white Dude kneel down and say a quick prayer, after a TD and all hell breaks lose
What?

Where did you see anyone complain about some white dude kneeling down and saying a quick prayer? BTW, how do you know who that person was praying to?

Also, please define the media, with sources, who "is all into LaQueshia Tomlislin doing the dirty bird".

I follow sports and have never heard of this player, or have I ever heard of anyone complaining about anyone doing some kind of celebration after a score.

If you read the TX case the main reason the monument was not removed was due to the fact that it was viewed as an historical monument and it's presence was not contested for a majority of the time it was there. Breyer also mentions the secular nature of the group who donated as well as the location of the monument.

If you read McCreary County v. ACLU of Kentucky the outcome and reason was much closer to the OK case.

The most recent case I could find was a 2010 case where the federal court ordered a monument of the 10 commandments removed. The SCOTUS let the decision stand.

There is little need for the SCOTUS to get involved as the case law is quite established. In most cases the display of a religious symbol on public land is a violation of the law.

Leaving the monument in place violated the 1st. Leaving it in place and denying the Satanic monument is a violation of the 14th. Oklahoma is in a lose lose situation.

Are you saying the monument is part of American history, heritage, and culture? I knew you would flip-flip given enough time. That is what the left does.

Learn how to construct a sentence, it's a historical monument not "an historical monument"its not "it's", the majority not "a majority", has been there not "was there". I do not blame you for your apparent lack of education; I blame the socialized schools that educated you.

This coming from the persons who thinks the COTUS supports majority rule. That idiocy comes from sleeping through or skipping class all together.

Blame what you want. I blame the smart phone and typing while watching tv. I'll take the blame for "an". Simple typo. My phone turns its to it's, so does my iPad. Not familiar with the rules about "majority" and "was there".

I'm not saying anything. This is what the court (Breyer) said. Your reading comprehension matches your COTUS comprehension. Personally I don't think historical context should be taken into account but I understand his reasoning.

With that in mind I am surprise at the ruling about the cross in San Diego. As I recall it has been there since 1958. I have not read the decision so there may other circumstances that failed the Lemon test. I wonder if the ruling will stand.

OH wait. Let me guess. Given your comment about "socialized schools" I'm guessing you went to a parochial or other private school that was not concerned with trivial things like the COTUS and US government. I'd see if I could get my money back if I were you. You got ripped off.

Just one example! There are many more if you care to look!

"Why Liberals Hate Tim Tebow (Many Tebow-bashers really have a problem with God)"
Tebow, as always, was classy in his response, thanking the Patriots owners and coaches for the opportunity and quoting 2 Corinthians 12:9:
That was all the Tebow-haters at Huffington Post needed to pounce on Tebow. Some examples of comments:
And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
On and on it went for over 100 pages of comments.
“Awwwwwwwww. I bet this makes the Baby Jesus weep. Tim should have prayed more.”
“Hey Tim, are you getting the message now? Nothing fails like prayer.”
“If Tim Tebow spend as much time concentrating on playing football as he did worrying about promoting his religion, he might not be getting cut.”
“We’re all going to hell and we’re excited about it. Don’t be jealous.”
“It would have been different for him had he kept his religion home and just been a regular ball player.”
“Where’s your god now, Tebow?”

The truth is, many of these Tebow-bashers really have a problem with God — Tebow is just a convenient conduit for their anger. When they see Tebow unashamedly discussing his faith, praying — Tebowing — on the sidelines of a football game, or hear about him preaching in a church, it makes them confront the fact that they are not right with God. John, the “disciple whom Jesus loved,” described it this way:The light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.(John 3:19-21, ESV).

Also, if you don't know what religion Tebow was praying to, you "DON'T" watch enough sports !

But it's all cool here:

Double standard Old Buddy......If a person is gay,  apparently we who don't subscribe to that bullshit are now required to see that lifestyle brandished on TV, parades, all kinds of venues....But you put a guy like Tebow up thanking the Lord for gifts granted on media and we are at Defcon 1.

Notice the Left thinks they got a new buddy in the Pope? He gets dissed lightly by Limbaugh and now He's the lefts hero.....left haven't figured out the Pope loves God.

Let me guess. You figured out that the COTUS does not provide for majority rule and a mother insult was the best you could come up with? I am so surprised.

Do comment pages work the other way? Do you think you could find any comment pages dwelling on Obamas race, Liebermans religion, Franks sexual orientation.... Do they speak for everyone or do they just speak for them selves?

By the way, you still have not answered my question. Do you believe the Satanic (and any other group) group should be allowed to place their monument or should the 10 commandments be removed?

I think it's funny how you cannot even write sentences using proper grammar yet, you feel qualified to dictate to others the intent of a complex document.

Language is obviously not your forte. I assume you are not a lawyer and have no legal training. What makes you think you are qualified to "translate" (more like manipulate) the law to others?

You are a fool Ms Tree.
