in another post you said PTO that you havent seen the DC-10s. I thought that they had gotten rid of them since the introduction of the A-330. Someone can better relate to what i'm asking though cause i dont know what NWA flies on international runs besides the 747 series

The short answer:
From west coast to Japan= A330-200's (LAX uses a 747-400)
Interport (intra-Asia)= 757's, A330's, Dc-10's , and 747's
Over the Atlantic= Almost exclusively A330-300's (there's stil a handful of DC10's in use going to AMS and LGW).
PTO--
NW has been planning on getting rid of the DC10's for years now (long before BK). The 757-300 replaced it on domestic runs, and the A330's are replacing it on "over the pond" routes.
They've already parked all of the -40 series, and have winnowed the -30 fleet down quite a bit. But you already knew all this, right? 🙄
