Just heard today that the agent buyout lists are complete, everyone who wanted it got it, 75 in ORD, 100+ in DFW, 70 in MIA Taking 30-40K and Running.

Godspeed and Good Luck!

Once again you show your ignorance and anti-union hatred. The early out has nothing to do with the CWA, there are two other threads discussing the CWA and AA's agents, go spew your venom there where it belongs.

It has a lot to do with the elections. First, the early out folks could be potential yes voters for the CWA If and when an election were to take place, especially if they are senior since seniority drives everything in a union shop.

Secondly, unions don't like seeing workers make gains on pay, benefits, and other arrangements outside the collective bargaining process. An agreement like this demonstrates managements willingness and responsiveness to the agents needs.

Now go back to US Air

Where in this thread does the OP have a union issue in it?

He doesnt!

Joshie, you will never learn,.

What if the court injunction isn't resolved until September? Lots of support in the most seniors, and I can bet money that AA would challenge the list if those employees are no longer on payroll

Sorry Joshy...the agents don't leave the company until September. Plenty of time for them to vote CWA.

Is the buyout based on a rejection of CWA ... if that's the case everyone of them will vote NO on the union ,,, to get the buyout.

No its not based on a rejection of the CWA, there hasnt even been an election allowed yet, thanks to the courts

And since the agents are non-union, AA can do was they please when ever they want too..

Which of the unions were able to successfully negotiate a buyout, John John?

I keep waiting for you to spin this as a negative.

Directly to my point that unions dont like seeing non-represented workers make gains outside the collective bargaining process.

The APFA has already secured an early out via the USAir bridge term sheet....our future managers.

700UW doesn't like people calling it USAir, and will say the name changed in 1995. Mind you, the names of many buildings, businesses, and streets have changed names when people still refer to them by their former names.

The US Air sheet is dead in the water. The writing is on the wall now that the creditors committee backed the extension for us to create our own plan. Doug just doesn't have the support (or the money!) to make the deal happen.
