I guess I won't be seeing any Easties at the LaQ free breakfast anymore. LOA93 must be hurting enough that some would make the effort to get the eggs and cereal. :lol: I actually sat with east guys a few times during breakfast.

Can we please not turn this into yet another East vs West thing? Please. We are talking about hotels in Las Vegas.

Most of the places that I used to frequent there have been torn down. The Dunes, The Sahara, The Sands., all the Rat Pack places (that had great travel industry rates).

A lot better than Terribles but the van ride to the hotel is much longer.

My wife just talked to a F/A friend of hers that actually liked Terrible's. I was expecting her to be unhappy, but she said it was an improvement. Better food choices and her room was better than what she was used to at Terrible's. She said they have a free shuttle to the strip, but the only stop is at the mall.

Which makes sense. AFAIK, no Las Vegas establishment is in the habit of providing free transportation to its competition--whether it's another casino, restaurant, or showroom. Even Palace Station would admit that Fashion Show Mall is at least one step up from their gift shop. :lol: But, once you are at the mall, it's a short walk to the monorail shuttle--just across the street if I remember correctly.

By the way, Fashion Show is an amazing mall. Only one I have ever seen that had a Nordstroms, a Saks 5th Avenue, a Barney's and a Neiman-Marcus.

Not to poo poo on the discussion but crew accomodations shouldn't be discussed on a public message board. Just an FYI.

Why? You pointed out why. We're happy there and no one complains. You guys hated T's and complained so you were moved. LaQ didn't have enough rooms for the east so they moved you elsewhere.
Actually, from your trailer trash corporate hotel person, the east was separated from La Quinta because of fights, three police reports that I found (two citing west crew members). SWA had a contract with T but none of their crew-members would stay there so SWA contracted elsewhere and put their T contract on the boards (yes, I know some SWA commuters stay there). The tempe cretins bought off on it ($11 per night) and placed the east crew members in substandard lodging (talk about DFR). On average, at least one crew member on every trip I was on went to La Quinta for lodging, paying their own way.

The only reason the east was moved was due to likely tempe litigation exposure after an east FA was literally mugged (broken ribs and all) in the casino. I have submitted all my letters for months to the tempe cretins about how unsafe T was and because of their inaction, they will likely pay a big price. Morons. Well, at least the FA won the lottery, courtesy the lowest cost labor group anywhere. The bastards celebrating their good fortune finding such "cheap" lodging for their employees will likely never pay for their irresponsible behavior.

BTW, Main Street Buffet charges $10 for all you can eat. And I mean you have a literally giant selection of reasonably good food. Allegedly pretty close.

I'm looking forward to a few crew reviews. Tripadvisor listed it at #91 vs. #84 for Terribles. I really didn't like Terribles, except the pool was OK and it was close to UNLV for running. I kind of question the rankings though as a La Quinta comes in at around #6!

Was just there yesterday. We got a day room there w/ all of the delays due to the weather in the East. It was a huge step up from Terribles. The rooms were nice, bathrooms nice... it did not have the odor that Terribles has.
The Casino much larger. Had quite a few restaurants. They gave us a discount. Again I was pleased. It was much better. It is not really that far from the strip, but they have a shuttle service that takes you over to the strip, they give you the schedule when you check in.

But wait... Rumor has it, that the LaQuinta is not going to be housing the West ..... so they are going to be right there with us Easties at Palace....

Club;
Would you be kind enough to tell us where we can read the police reports that you speak of, and what proof you have that LCC paid only $11 a night for crew lodging at Terrible's?

Thanks.

I guess I was just absent that day when they taught accomodation economics. But here you have two cities experiencing financial hardship, PHX and LAS. I would assume LAS has more hotel rooms on the market. In PHX we now stay at a nice hotel, the Sheraton downtown. But in LAS, :blink:
