“I doubt there is another public figure in the country who gives liberals a bigger case of the hives,â€￾ said Rick Perry, Republican governor of Texas. “At the very mention of her name the liberals, the progressives, the media elites — they literally foam at the mouth.â€￾

Palin’s biggest challenge may be Brown, particularly now that he, too, is planning a book. His life story appears to qualify him to achieve Palinesque fame and fortune.

Liberalism's worst nightmare come true

But wait,...................you guys ALWAYS have that "sure thing"......................RUDY

Palin is to the Republican Party what Ralph Nader was to the Democrats. She will do nothing but serve to divide the party. I hope that she leads the charge to a third party (Tea Party) candidate in 2012.

The best thing that is happening to assist the Democratic Party right now is the formation and growth of the so-called Tea Party movement. You guys should be listening to Newt Gingrich. He sees this happening and is warning all (Republicans), but most are not listening.

I think Newt has some good ideas but he lost a lot of credibility with me when he sat with Pelosi to do a commercial about global warming and also when he endorsed that chick in New York for congress. What was he thinking......................?

Yeah it sure did good in NJ,Va and Ma.

Tea Party movement is revitalizing core conservative values and hopefully direct the GOP back to understanding what caused its demise and give it renewed direction.
To opine its the best thing happening to the DNC is short sighted and ludicrous at best.

The best thing that is happening to assist the the citizens of the U.S. right now is the Demorats in D.C. imploding all by themselves !

If you guys continue to push for a third party, you will only further divide your base. Narrowing the electorate does not get people elected. If Nader had not been running in 2000, we would have had Al Gore for 8 years. If you run a Tea Party candidate, along with the RNC nominee, you will learn to enjoy Obama's second term.

Where you grasp me suggesting a third party?

You will most likely see Tea Party Conservative Republican candidates.

GOP has had 'factions' if you will before and the party stayed intact.

You guys may have been the wrong term.

Are you sure the Tea Party will be a 'faction'?

I personally hope we have a third party. A viable one not based on the Charisma of a specific candidate ala Ross Perot. But a real honest to God party of principle.

A Third Party made from Grass Roots without much help from Washington insiders, One that springs up and takes over state legislatures, and other local offices, building a base from which to truly challenge on the national level. Third Parties can and do wreck havoc on the status quo and that's what's needed.

The current Republicrat Party needs a legitimate challenger as what passes for 2 parties now id more like opposite sides of the same coin. We need a new coin altogether. One that says, "This is our country and WE the people say to GM, AIG and the like, HISS OFF, It's our ball and ballfield and y'll can take your bat and glove and go home."

The middle Class funds the government and it's about time we take over and run the damn thing.

3rd isn't going to float only guarantee like Tech said.
You'll see the Obamatron's actively and covertly pushing in that direction.
It's already happening now.
Hopefully cool heads will see the result before it becomes an issue.

Think Ross Perot.

Third parties can work on a local/state level so long as it is a popular vote and not a winner take all. On the federal level for POTUS I do not see it having a future until the Electoral college gets abandoned. If 271 votes are required to win, a viable 3rd party could make that impossible.

Given the strangle hold that the republicans and democrats have on the political machine, I think this all and theoretical exercise. Getting them out of power would be the equivalent of the demise of the USSR.

No time to start like the present.
