Palin/Brown set US on fire

I have been advocating the abolishment of the EC for quite some time but many on this board are still in favor of it and I doubt you will find a republican or democrat politician who would be in favor of it. Given the way people can be lead around by there noses I also doubt you would find many in the public who would be in favor of it. People tend to like the status quo. They think the existing system works and would not have any interest in trying something different. Those who favor the system because it protects their power base will predict the down fall of the US should be tamper with the EC.

In order for the people to reclaim the power of government, we need to get rid of the EC and get rid of the money. As long as those two forces prevail in government, our government will never represent us.

Funny all the media reported anti-Palin slurs are now lies but where is MSM in mentioning this obvious miscarriage of journalistic etiquette?

You will need an amendment to the Constitution to abolish the electoral college. The Congress and several States have bigger issues to deal with right now. The issue of the EC is a headache which comes around every four years, and then just fades away...

It's a lofty ideal to conceive of a national government that isn't awash in the influence of money and power. Good luck finding a successful example of one anywhere in the history of human civilization.

But there is an active movement to do it as we speak.

Congress would fight it tooth and nail. End the EC and you end their careers as well. I am pretty sure they would not be interested in that idea.

Ending the electoral college would have very little affect on members of Congress.

Liberalism's worst nightmare come true

Did the person who wrote this article take into consideration the state that Brown represents? It's not like the guy can really afford to take a hard swing to the right. Looking at some of his recent votes in the senate shows that he already knows this.

Apparently Palin has set Germany on fire as well.
