What an idiot.

From the article...

"Later in the flight, attendants said, Brissenden began poking and touching other passengers, including a woman and her child sitting in the row in front of him."

Later in the flight? Later in the flight? Why was this bozo not in handcuffs and tied to a seat after kicking a flight attendant the first time? At AA our policy is zero tolerance for violence against crew members in flight. And, it doesn't matter whether he kicked her hard or not. HE KICKED THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT. HELLO!

If I were that flight attendant, I would have been yelling for passenger help at the first attempt to kick me.

Jim:
I'm with you all the way here. This crap should never be put up with.

We need to get used to it, however, since this is the demographic of customer that US Airways focuses on and wants to attract. <_<

NO. I disagree. We must NEVER "get used to" violence against crew members or any airline employee. For that matter, no company of any type--even, judo and karate schools --should tolerate violence against an employee. Accepting that sort of behavior as "just part of the job" is what coarsens our lives and our society.

In situations such as this, US Airways will provide the passenger with a voucher good for future travel because we did not "meet his expectations" and his customer service "perception" was not up to his standards.

The Flight Attendant will get a copy of the complaint letter he writes to US Airways and will then receive a stern letter from Management that will stay in their file for over a year.

Think I am being sarcastic?? We see this attitude from management DAILY!

Silly me! Here all the time I was being told it was Howard Stern coarsening society

I happen to agree with you regarding a ZERO TOLERANCE for this type of poop. I think if I had been sitting near him, two people would have been in Tuff Cuffs because I'd have hit him upside his head. I have this "thing" about so called men striking women.

No. Not at all.

Thanks for the answer.

Now if I understand this correctly a Taser used properly is far LESS dangerous to use on board an aircraft than say a 9mm Sig Saur due to the fact that an errant bullet could pierce the hull whereas the Taser could not?

I'm thinking there are Three "T's" to customer safety, Talk, Taser, Tuff Cuff or am I off base in my thinking that this would be the safest most effective way of subduing a Terrorist or Idiot? Given that the Idiot is ten times more likely than a terrorist
