It served no purpose, but to show Michelle's Mother, and daughters, a good time, at the expense of the American  taxpayers, that cost millions of $$$ at a time when we can least afford it!--------- But that's O.K. in your book because you feel the Bush's traveled more. Never said it was ok although I do not think it is fair just because your husband is POTUS you cannot take a vacation anywhere with your family. The first family is under the protection of the secret service. Nits not optional. If they want to go to the market to shop or to a foreign county it is a massive undertaking.

I don't feel Bush traveled more, the facts as laird out by NTU said she did, so far over 3 times more.

This is all besides the point. My post had nothing to do with bushes travel or Obamas. It had to do with the fact that neither of them took trips with out the POTUS on the 747 typically associated with presidential travel and they most definitely we not on Air Force One which is not even an aircraft but a designation of an aircraft carrying the POTUS.

I believe your post was both inaccurate and disingenuous. Was the trip wasteful, from a political stand point yes. Unless you expect to have the POTUS and family hostages of the White House trips will happen. If you are indeed concerned about wasteful spending from the first family I think you would be more successful if you made a more general statement that all first families waste money on personal travel and suggest an Idea to limit expenses us he as a annual travel cap. As it is, your post came off as just another inaccurate hypocritical attack on Obama.

But Laura's travel was justified...she had to fly down to Crawford early so she could hit the Walmart and buy the fixin's for all the home cooked meals she'd be making when Georgie came in.
