profit sharing checks already deposited

Just checked....mine hasn't hit yet. Maybe my bank account is full....no room for new money.
 
Mine is a pending transaction of $352 and change. Last year I got just under $400. My wages were within a few hundred dollars between the two years, so that's not a substantial difference. But here's the kicker. I'm West so I only got for just over a half year last year. I figure I should be getting about $600 this year.

A PLEA: PLEASE do not start up the "You're West, you shouldn't get anything". I've said several times here that West should not have gotten PS, but since the Company promised it to us they can't take it away now. My comments here are intended to suggest potential misrepresentation by the Union and/or the Company NOT to perpetuate a war between East and West.

I think the check for most people will be less this year. Slightly lower profit for the year, plus more people are in the profit sharing pool this year an last year.

We are not going to rehash this. The company did not promise you anything. Our AFA East MEC voted without the memberships approval to share it with the West. It was a hard earned little morsel for us after 2 bankruptcies and parking half our fleet. It was agreed to like it or not but make no mistake, had the membership on the East had a vote, it would not have passed. That check will never make up for the $12,000 a year paycut I took. Frankly a slap in the face on several fronts. Enjoy it and don't spend it all in one place. And try not to spend it on bills.

Well your right it does suck the IAM Dictator Canale gave the west guys a Full share this year continuing to vilolate your contract. If you remember Canale vilolated your east Contract last year by reducing the checks by 4 months in profits taken by the West.

So with Canale's blatent vilolation of the east contract and 9 millon less in profits is why you got less..so be sure to Thank Randy for honoring your east coast Contract

Please note I'm not picking a fight with the west over this issue I want you guys to be taken care and make money but to allow Dictator Canale who is supposed to defend contracts to give away money for a group covered by specific languge is wrong and should be DFR'd

If I'm wrong could could someone please show me where in the TWU contract where the west is working under the terms that provide profit sharing?

Can you show me anywhere in the language where it says it SHOULDN'T?

So even though we do fleet service WORK for a company called USAIRWAYS we are not entitled to the profits of USAIRWAYS? Even though we are not a part of your contract, we are still a part of the USAIRWAYS FLEET SERVICE!

If you don't think it's fair WE get a cut too, maybe you can fly your happy butt out here and load the east bags yourselves then, and service your east planes yourselves then and we will stop using the east computer system.

I'm getting tired of unloading 60 bags from the very BACK of the forward bin anyways. :lol:

Ok how about this then: We will continue to pay money to the IAM, a union that does NOT A THING for us, and we will continue to recieve nothing in return! Does that seem a little more fair to you? Is that worth having an extra 50 dollars in your profit sharing check?
