Re: the angry mechanic from LAS

This guy is 100% on the money. We should all be this angry. He didn't make us look like clowns. We already look like clowns, thanks to our own fear, acquiensence and the worthless TWU leadership.

BK brings out the worst in people. Seen it at UA and heard about it from USAir, NWA. Some people commit suicide, either real or professionally. The Company and Union EAP should work to save his job.
Anger management training at a minimum, then back to work.

Thanks xUT.

Many have been there, done this. It is amazing that this is coming as a shock to so many here. When NWA was being targeted, AMFA warned all that this was the future. We could have stood as one then. It did not happen.

I am with you on this guy getting help. There are many casualties of the airline BK train. I remember several at EAL who committed suicide.

There is life after the airlines people.

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Maybe if Dennis made his video more in line with this guy, he'd still be working and maybe some news sites would have picked it up.

The Imperial Gallon is 20% more more than a US Gallon so thats why they get what seems like great gas mileage per gallon.

Wasn't trying to point that out. Trying to point out the facyt that he is also upset, but went a different way to post his video. Got his point across without the screanming and hollering.

back in the day - real union men would have shut the place down until he got his job back

That is exactly the message that needs to be sent from the floor. This can/could happen to you. I worked UAir through 2 Bk's and several vol givebacks and the toll was as awsome as xUT indicates.

To be fair, he's suspended with pay. He hasn't lost his job.

Just a guess, but maybe he's being told to go for an anger management consult/evaluation befbore he can return to work.

Take it to an extreme -- had he acted out in any way on-duty, and it was known that the video existed, the company could be held liable for endangering the rest of the workforce.

Hes talikng about gas milage. Did he recently loose his job of 20+ years? who knows, probably not.

How many years ago did real union men rule the earth?

PATCO 1968 - I don't know how long they " ruled ", but I have a pretty good idea when it ended.

Yeah... So, about the mechanic. It was over the top and not needed. It was also a bit incohesive. It was hard to believe that it was an actual qualified and professional mechanic. I thought that they had a bit more intellect. Sometimes you can achieve so much more by being a diplomatic and intellectual ####, rather than going on an emotional rant like that.

God knows that I have written some private rants, but I would save them and then look at them weeks later. I couldn't believe sometimes that I felt a certain way about some things that were so trivial.

At least he should have kept the video for a few days and then re-evaluated it afterwards to see if it was worth the trouble. I am sure he now knows that it wasn't worth it.
