Poor ol' John McCain.(He's one of the few republicans that I can tolerate, and count on one hand, and still have a FEW fingers left over)

He's in SC changing his stance(AGAIN), this time about Border Security.

I'm NOT saying that 'flip flopping' is a trait exclusively to the GOP, because we all know differently, but does'nt JMc realize what a FOOL he's making himself look like ????????

OOPS sorry, I forgot the Link.
It's on Yahoo news.

I have no problem with anyone changing their stance on any issue. To me it is a good thing. The fact that they are willing to change their opinion shows that they are open minded and willing to adjust to changing circumstances. Of course this is in a perfect world where people are sincere and dedicated to the betterment of man kind. It is unfortunate that candidates are lambasted for changing their opinions. If they can present a rational well thought out explanation for their change of heart, kudos to them for having the courage to be flexible.

I do understand what you are saying though Bear. Th suspicion is that they are changing their minds because that is what the polls are telling them to do.

Thats a good point garfield !

Truth be told,...as much as I'd LIKE to believe that ALL republicans(politicians) are terrible people,...EVEN I know that's not the case.

BUT,
A lot of good GOP politicians, are going to find out THE HARD WAY, that the Evangelical christians are of the mindset that....."YOU(the politician), had BETTER see things are way, or you won't be in GOP politics very long" !!

In my "region"(the northeast) I've had the rare oppertunity of seeing GOP Senators, NOT worry about kissing James Dobsons et. al. A$$ !!

People like.......Olympia Snowe/Susan Collins-ME./(former Senator) Lincoln Chaffee-RI/Arlen Spector-PA.

(Sadly) Ol' John McCain was(at one time) his "Own Man"

If the republicans what to see power again they need to go back to their core principles. They need to concern them selves with running the country and not with running peoples lives. They need to tell the religious whack jobs that there are people out in the world who have different beliefs and that is OK. If they want to convert the non-believers they can go door to door and try to sell them religion door Am-way or what ever else they like. They cannot use the White House to tell people what to do. Until the republicans learn to respect people who have different life styles and different beliefs than them, they will have a very difficult time in coming back to power.

Bush was an aberration for them. Corruption exists in both parties. W took criminal behavior and religion to a level never seen in this country. While the religious whack jobs were over joyed, the rest of the country took a look at them and got scared.
