If someone reading this can please answer I would appreciate it.

I recently heard that FAs at AA who retire at age 55 or older receive medical benefits. Is this correct? What is the coverage like?
We, at DL, no longer receive medical coverage upon retirement. Not sure about other airlines.....

Thanks!

I have United Healthcare, 80-20 plan. It is my secondary because I have an excellent plan where I now work. But like anything else, its a crap shoot. The benefit could be negotiated away tomorrow. After my COBRA ran out during the furlough, the rates quoted to me were between $4500 and $4500 a MONTH, with a $2500 deductible. It was a big reason I retired instead of waiting to be recalled. And the sad part of that is the insurance (as well as passes) could disapear tomorrow. And I'd be left with $99 a month.
