Jack the Cat has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. He fought a valiant fight to go home with his mom Karen but his wounds were just too serious to heal. So many have hoped for a better outcome and have followed this story from the beginning. Please think twice about EVER shipping your pet via cargo on ANY airline. It just isn't worth it...

Dunno. It's easy to blame the airline, but most of those plastic shipping crates are crap, and too many owners will spend the least amount of money possible to buy them, let alone make sure they're escape proof....

My lab managed to open the door on her crate once (in the house -- my dogs won't fly. Ever.). If the latch isn't spring loaded or if the springs were worn, I have no doubt a determined cat would figure out how to open the latch.

We had a lab once and she would get out of her cage while we were gone. I set up a video camera to record how she got out. She just pawed at the latch and was out in less than 5 minutes. Those labs are smart dogs.

Flying low / Eolesen,

You folks are "Spot on" about Labradors !

My oldest son has a 100 lb Black male (named Bear) who is the GREATEST dog I have every seen in 66 years.
He lives better then (sadly) the homeless people living under the Interstate.

Bear uses the family 4' above ground Pool. He strools over to the edge of the Deck, and then when it suits him, he dives in, make one circle around the round pool, Never comes close to the Plastic liner and THEN ....CLIMBS up the LADDER one rung at a time ! 😱 😱 I swear to GOD he's (majority) human !

Only drawback, in his family's 3 acre territory(heavily wooded) he's very fond of Geese. Especially thier PooP 🙁
After he finds some, he ROLLS in IT, then comes straight to the back door ! YUK !!!!!!!

i tell everyone i know if you love your pets put them in a kennel or have friends watch them when you go on vacation.

Kennel gates are supposed to be zipped tied !
