did anyone else read that RSA said they have no intrest in investing in UAL? If that is the case then I assume that someones merger plan is off the table. 😛h34r: Am I reading this wrong?

Consider this a good thing. Any involvement of RSA will mean the elimination of pensions and other benefits. Be glad they're staying away.

hey dofus....

When you go ch7 all the pensions plus the daily salary go by-by.....

UAL needs any finiancial help they can get....

wonce Tilton wrests the pension obligation from UAL you will see investors.

All you will have to do is find another job in addition to UAL for your retirement planing, not unlike us a UAIR....

If I didn't think you were such a stand up guy, I would say you are wishing we will experience the same pain you have.

Sounds like you're holding a pretty serious grudge there, big guy (little man). Thanks so much for your support.

p.s. repeat after me... once is spelled o-n-c-e. As in once UA emerges from CH11 you'll have even more to begrudge 😛

Absolutely not.......you have "once" again misunderstood me.

I would like nothing more than see UAL make a stand for the industry and the profession! Lose the pension and you lose the game,Their is nothing more to look forward to! This has truly become nothing but a job.....

Without that "Pot-O-Gold" at the 60th birthday, well lets just say I'm not relishing another job interview.

I don't want to see you or anyone else in this same situation.....Besides I don't need the competition at the next interview!!

Need any yard work sir??............

In all sincerity, Best of Luck!!

At least there is a possibility that part of your pension will be paid by the PBGC. If you're lucky it will be as much as half what you thought it would be, but better'n nuttin.

You would think that the majority party in Congress would get tired of having to pick up the tab for all their corporate buddies that they allowed over the years to put off funding their pension plans on schedule. Evidently not.

bigbusdrvr says: "This has truly become nothing but a job....."

767jetz responds: It does seem that way from time to time. Like many pilots, I literally dedicated a lifetime to this career, only to see it turn into just another job. Not even a great paying one considering what we went through getting here. But that's something only you and me and our fellow pilots understand. There is little understanding or sympathy outside our community.

767jetz responds: I hear you there. I think there's enough pilots out on the street. I have many friends from TWA now flying corporate or working outside of aviation.

bigbusdrvr says: "Need any yard work sir??............"

767jetz responds: No. I do it myself. Can't afford to pay someone else. 🙁

bigbusdrvr says: "In all sincerity, Best of Luck!!"

767jetz responds: Thanks. And same to you.
