I think eliminating the unions from our profession is the way to go. I have made really good money as an A&P in this industry without the help of a union. Now that the unions are gone maybe all the slackers that have been living and scratching by off of their brothers will get out of the industry. Thus reducing the number of actual mechanics thus increasing the demand thus increasing the pay. Its called economics.

Tell me more about the guy that worked for 10 years as a mechanic but only spent an hour and a half at work then snuck off to another job. How good of a mechanic was he? Is that what the unions stands for? Slackers?

How is it the unions fault if this mechanics manager allowed this type of behavior to go on? Sounds like poor management to me, obviously this manager wasn't doing his job of making sure that the people he was in charge of were doing their jobs. You talk as though management is powerless over the unions. If someone isn't doing their job they should be held accountable for that.

Actually it was 4,500 the only mistake I made was not planning on a Hurrican hitting the oil wells and driving oil up to outragous amounts

So there are 2 of you out there. I was referring to a fellow worker at AFW but you came along and openly admitting the same betting on scabs mentality. Just plain wrong...

Do you think all the guys who made thousands with AA concession were dumbass too ?

Half of them(officers) are crooks for doing inside trading as per the ORD VP. The others ones knew that the twu and Tulsa would always give the company what they wanted. Different situation here as we were not going on strike regardless of the vote on concessions. You're betting on scabs, they were betting on a weak membership.

how much did you make from our concession

I've will lose at least $150k, as will most co-workers.

I am actually rooting for the NW Mechanics not the replacement workers,

Your actions are speaking much louder than your words.

If you want to know what I think of replacement workers ask

Well, I'm asking, do tell.

Just because you think you are right does not mean you are right.

I have no problem with opposing views, as this forum would be boring without them. I do have problems with tough talking "wafflers" such as yourself and SCABS. I have more respect for those such as FM, FWAAA, or Oneflyer who consistently preach pro-management views than someone who just a mere 10 months ago was talking the talk but now is gambling on scabs, certainly not what you call walking the walk but nonetheless, still not low as being a SCAB.

AMFAman I am not betting on scabs I am betting on Northwest, what I mean by that is if the Mechanics come back to work giving Northwest the concession then the stock will go up, if the Mechanics don't come back and Northwest keeps the Replacement workers the stock will still go up either way Northwest wins and the stock goes up the only way Northwest loses and the stockholders lose is if Northwest goes bankrupt and I was betting that they would not and I still think they will not, but if they do it will be because of the oil prices not because of the Mechanics strike.

Ok since you are asking I do not believe in taking another man's job as in the case of the replacement workers but I do think that a man should be able to take his OWN job back should he choose to do so, and I do not consider that person to be a scab as he is taking no one's job but his own.

See sometimes it is better to ask than assume and a man can feel one way at one time then change his mind there are many people at AA who use to like the TWU and then they changed their minds and now they want a different Union, ( even though it will not make a difference at aa ) it is ok to change your mind and as you said some don't like it when it get's hot, I already said you were right about me when you said that.

When I think your right I will tell you.
I am like many people I can talk tough when I have nothing at stake. 😉

Well gentlemen what do you think of the lowly scum of the earth, child molesting, cow dung living, worthless no good, job stealing, don't know nothing, moronic scabs now? Northwest put this together and you people were warned but it was the scabs that pulled this off. With out the worthless scabs Northwest didn't stand a chance.

local12 do you not understand that I will wear that logo as a badge of honor? I have no qualms about being a scab. I'm very proud of my participation in giving what I hope to be a deathblow to AMFA. I also hope that this will be a wake-up call for all the other unions out there that they better straighten their act up for they are not immune too the chopping block. If another aviation company ever makes a call for help in busting a union, I’ll be there.

Just curious, how many Northwest planes have crashed since the start of the company?
[post="299873"][/post]

So are you prepared to compare your three week performance against the 50+ years that NWA had union labor fixing the aircraft?

What has NWAs dependability been like the last three weeks?

FAA investigations into faulty maintenace practices as documented by FAA inspectors.

Was it three emergency landings? One where the nose gear collapsed another where they had to crank the gear down?

Then again we have your IDG sericing proceedures.

If you guys are doing so well then why is NWA stepping up the heat to get their regular guys back? Why are you here trying to get them to give up?

To their credit Northwest has had only 2 fatal accidents in the past 20 years. Both in DTW.
