Yeah it is because you could get your fed taxes done free at a Fed building(IRS office) and HFC does them for free during February. Correct me if I am wrong but NH doesn't have state tax, does it?

Case in point ? That tax money "You get back" was your freakin' money to begin with, the government just borrowed it over the course of the year, where as if you, like myself, made it so you broke even come tax time, that money "You get back" could have been in "Your" bank making interest for "You" ,during the course of that year ! But as long as you can get "Free Stuff" none of that matters in your book!

Or are you saying you received a refund?

Big difference between the two. The 47% ers pay zero when all is said and done. I too received a refund, all that means is that i overestimated my tax liability for last year and paid too much (....have to do better this year) However even though I received a refund I still paid a crapload of taxes for the year. Geez I probably provided cell phones for an entire county somewhere!

If your answer is option 1 you better send thank you notes to all 56 million Romney voters. And about 11 Million Obama voters. No need to send notes to the other 47 million Obama voters....they are all on the take from the govt. and didn't help you out any. 🙂

I am saying , I give the government no more than than they would get at the end of the year, in twelve installments ! So, instead of overpaying my taxes every paycheck, and receiving a check back from the government at the end of the year, for over-payment, I take that money and make interest off of it, instead of Barrack making money off of it.....................it "IS" my money after all !

See if you were smart you would keep more money, invest or save to earn interest, and pay Uncle Sam what you owe. Instead of giving more, having Uncle Sam earn interest and paying you the "shut up and be happy" refund.

Yep. Keeping the money and doing a payment in April is the voter's equivalent of putting a union on hand-pay instead of payroll deduct.

Maybe more of us should consider paying taxes this way.
