I know the reason the company hasnt come out with a big separation package is because of the cash up front problem, but I know of several agents in my station who are trying to start other careers (and are just fed up with the company) who would gladly leave if they could just get flying benefits. Why isnt the company offering any more of these? The company seems to be wanting to get rid of people, but isnt really putting forth any effort to actually get people to leave (other than downsizing or expressing them out the door.) Offer lifetime flying benefits for anyone topped out and see if anyone goes. (I thought they changed the lifetime flying to anyone with 20 years, but we've been told you still have to be 55 to get that and these people arent that old.) Even 1 person who leaves would open up the possibility of someone junior coming back with less benefits to have to pay out. The two people in particular I know of are 84 or higher date and the ones on call to come back in their place would be 93 or later. Big difference in pay and total benefits. Any thoughts or comments?
