San Francisco International Airport will add its fifth low-cost carrier on the Fourth of July, when Song, the low-fare unit of Delta Air Lines, begins service between SFO and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The nonstop service, beginning Monday with one flight a day, will increase to five flights a day by autumn, said Tim Mapes, Song's vice president for marketing

This will be followed my JFK-SEA, BOS to both LAX and SFO and BDL(Hartford) to LAX. Hopefully DL will become and remain a viable long-term player in the transcon market with these additions.
