The possible 23-hour down time could be that UAL is contracting out an A-CK to the folks at NGO. They are running low on even having enough mechanics to run their day-to-day maintenance here in the states.

I don't think there is any validity to this line of reasoning at all. Much more likely, I feel, is that shortly we'll see UAL announce NGO-HNL service with the available 777 much like they did with the 777 they fly into KIX.

That actually was a great move by ANA who had been flying the route but suggested UAL take it over so they could use their 767 on additional China routes. I expect UAL to do the same out of NGO, thereby gaining increased utilization of a very valuable asset.

Since this was originally a 'route' thread, I see that F9 couldn't handle the LAX-STL route, and are pulling that service. Might not be much, but hey it's a start. Damn, now Fish has me swimming in his sewer. Sorry....(head down in shame) 🙁
