Should there be physicals after a certain age?

I don''t know about your airline, but US has some of the OLDEST fllight attendants that I know of. We have some that started in 1953. They have to be pushing their 70''s. I overheard an old flight attendant on my deadhead recently complaining that her legs hurt so bad she could hardly walk. She was hunched over and walking worse than my grandmother. Is that safe? She couldn''t open a door if her life depended on it, and IT DOES. I seriously think that physicals should be mandated by the FAA after a certain age.

I think it might be a good idea. Maybe around 62, the age that most workers retire. If Flight Attendant certification goes through, this problem will take care of itself. I would think that physicals would be a certification requirement.
