Some very nice pixs of the S92. Not a big fan of the paint scheme though 🙄
Couple of thing s caught my eye. Couldn't put my finger on it right off the bat, so I sat and ran my fingers through my hair for a while, before I got it! 😀
Have a lookit at those two GEEs sittin in the back. (GEE=Grinnin Ear to Ear.)
Took my a while to notice it then it's right there in front of ya face! Firstly, no self respecting heavy driver would wear those big honky headsets, and the shirts! That was a dead give away. Any heavy driver (S61, S76 endorsed anyway) will have oil stains on their shirts.
Now have a good look...see any oil stains?? Nope, so they have to be fakes!! Can't be real drivers! Geez, what Sikorski won't do to make a sale!!
Oil stains are on the back of the shoulders (from ducking under the blades during the 61 D.I.)
As for the headsets, that was just for the photo as it was quiet enough back there to talk without screaming, and that was without the insulation that the production models will have.
Funny, we launched from Cougar's ramp, but only one of their employees came out to look at the aircraft. It was overnighting there, they probably had lots of time to do so later.
How are things on the icy rock? Good to be home no doubt!
Motley crew indeed, I went to that place downtown Halifax last Friday evening and saw no-one! I did end up meeting several buds from work and stayed there a couple hours slugging some cool ones but I felt stood like a bad blind date. 😉
Yep.........spent some time in there, contemplating if I really wanted to take that 10 minute drive the next day back to the Norwegian Torture Device.
Hey Roscoe you wanted a photo of me in the S92 to finally put a face to the handle, well here it is😀 B) 😀
I don't know if you commercial guys can appreciate it or not but it was really nice to fly without all my G.I. Joe gear on. I was dressed like a normal human being and comfortable. A beautifal fall day, machine flew well of course. I'll refrain from making comparissons though as our government is very twitchy about the MHP project.
OK, now I'm jealous. Haven't seen a grin that big on K.K.'s face since he got on the Twotter in Capure. This is the one and only time I wished I was crewing in Halifax. Nice pics guys, how about some comments on how she flew.
no Idea about flying it from the front..Woulda loved a shot at it but don't have enough hours to be allowed a chance for that..... 🙁 but was sure nice in the back.. quiet enough to not need a headset on and still be able to talk at normal levels. Nice roomy interior, can see why it'd be considered for the offshore.
Many thanks again to Vortex ring and the folks from sikorsky for letting me tag along..
