Hey fellas, you might remember me or might not! I was the dude that kept getting kicked off for saying the "S" word that came over from the defunct AMFADELTA site. Well just wondering how the whole merger with the pieces of "S" have been. Its been over 3 years since I worked at the Big "D" and hope that it has gotten better for you few that I liked, and worse for those that I didn't like! HAHA! Take care bros!

Three years later and you're still this bitter? I'd be willing to bet that your former co-workers feel much the same.

Violated...just came back to Ma D from a almost 4 year furlough. It's a little different; better? I don't know. The hope for union representation is just a ghost of what it was (almost a ghost) virtually gone. I can tell you from my own experience, after working in another industry and actually making a bit more money than I was at Delta, I feel 100% better coming back. What I can say is, the time away let me know that I am an doing as an aircraft mechanic is what I was meant to do. Despite of all the other headaches it still makes me feel great. Ma D seems to be somewhat concerned with employees, but I am not naive-that will change at a drop of a hat. I have also learned that poor company attitude is no different than at any other job. Corporate will look out for themselves at the expense of everyone else. We really haven't had to deal with the "replacements" as of yet. The good note is that the majority will have much less seniority that the Delta mechanics. Cushion is good. We all know that the airline business is cyclical...here's hoping that it's on the upswing for a good while. Yeah, bitter is still there, but I'm putting what I want first for a change. If I go out, I'm going out doing what I love! From what I've seen, the Big D sure could use some good mechanics. Pretty lean for that asset here nowadays. Best of luck to you...
