Note route maps for AA to South America (with no use of connections) versus Delta route map to South America. No wonder Delta wanted (and needed) LATAM. Even Cranky was taken aback by stark difference in "mainline" service.

Probably not much. As I said on the other thread on this subject, I'm not too sure that this move by Delta isn't more of an attempt to poke a stick in AA's eye than a service expansion move. Delta is doing this because they can.
