Well, I've said all along that the reason we were in such financial distress was the lack of a Diversity Strategy. And here we are getting multiple strategies! (I'm assuming that since the name of the team is Diversity Strategies. All is well. There will be no layoffs. Little Sheba will come home.
Besides, there are some areas of AA where caucasian is the minority - is there a diversity "club" or "team" for them?
I don't know that I would want to identify myself as a member of any "diverse" group to a company like AA. There have just been too many nitemares (not to mention lawsuits) regarding discrimination for my taste. Even if half of them aren't warranted, the fact that employees are left to feel like they are speaks volumes.
Diversity programs are nothing more than another source of revenue to AA. They have separate websites for hispanic, gay/lesbian, etc., just for specific marketing to get the buck. Not that it's a totally bad idea, but in order for people to really believe their employer sees them as equal, they have to cut out this crap of identifying minorities as anything other than hired labor, and treat everyone equally.

I'd much rather that my wife and kids didn't have to pull out the card at all, ............
....and how do you suppose the "porn" felt having to be hotlinked right next to AA? Why, I'll bet they pulled their advertising after that! :blink:
