Song 757's Equipped For Over Water?

Have been experimenting with Song, and am a little disappointed with on time performance, including 4 hour delays to Florida last night (8/26). Other carriers seemed to be having less difficulty. My wife was traveling, and I checked her progress with tracking software.It looked like both the LGA-PBI and LGA-FLL flights were taking an overland routing, instead of the Wilmington to S. Florida direct shot. If those aircraft aren't configured to fly offshore, and that's what caused the delay (inability to fly around the storms), that would be a major problem, both operationally and competitively. I know when USAirways used some MD-80 aircraft on those Florida east coast routes, that was a real issue for them. Just curious for future reference.
