Does anyone know the current pay "top out" rates for American stock clerks.. are they only hired from within, or is most of the stores handled by vendors?

Does anyone know the current pay "top out" rates for American stock clerks.. are they only hired from within, or is most of the stores handled by vendors?

Most of ours came from cleaning or cargo or an island in the Pacific. There seems to be an Affirmative Action program. Only our automotive stores is handled by outside vendors. Many were laid off, so hiring might still be tight.
