Supply And Demand!

I was flying some of my regular customers this morning,when one of them asked me if we had raised our rates since the fires started in BC. I said no. He then proceeded to tell me that he had phoned a company to get thier rates so he could bid a job for a customer in his area.Unfortunatly not my area.The company was more than ready to take his business.Told him 1400.00 an hour for a Jetbox all inclsive.Wow how nice of them.He asked why the sudden increase and was told its a matter of Supply and Demand!!!!! I hope all thier regular customers phone them and get the same answer,and then never go back to them again. :down: :down: :down: :down: :down:

Gee, sounds eerily familiar to the way the oil companies gouge us....

One day I will tell my boss that my mind is in overload and if he asked me to do any more tasks...you guessed it, supply and demand dictates you now must pay me double.

And the kicker is, only I know the level my brain can handle. B)

Yes, and if we all operated with those principles and policies, there'd be rampant inflation all around and it would be no time before we'd be a tightly-regulated industry again. An operator doing that could well be on their last legs and, probably, deservedly so. B)

Is that operator one of the few in touch with reality and wanting to start making money AND at the same time pay his/her pilots properly. Careful what you don't ask for.

What's worse $1400 or $600?

I wouldn't know, 100'. I only work for a company with some of the best business practices, best reputations, FAIR wages, and lowest staff turnover rates in the industry. B)
