Does anyone in DFW know if the rumor is true about SWAs ad in Dallas news paper thanking AA for STL? Thx in advance.

Very doubtful...especially considering that the market reading that paper lives in a city where Southwest cannot fly them to St. Louis. I believe they have better things to spend their money on that that.

A rumor about an ad in a major city newspaper? Rumors are supposed to be difficult to verify, not printed millions of times for 50 cents a copy.

Southwest doesn't need advertising of that nature. Their product speaks for itself.

When we (twa) came out with the ad campain "One mission: Yours," Southwest came out with "One mission: low prices" which I thought was kind of funny and catty, who knows.

TWA came out with an ad that stated"If your headed Southwest your headed in the wrong direction."I thought that was kind of ballzzy.
