FORT WORTH, Texas, March 18, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- American Airlines and the Transport Workers Union (TWU) Local 549 have reached a tentative agreement on a new joint collective bargaining agreement for Dispatchers and Operational Specialists.

"Our Dispatchers and Ops Specialists play a critical role in our airline and today’s tentative agreement represents a significant step in the integration process,” said Lorne Cass, vice president, Integrated Operations Center. “We would like to thank TWU Local 549 for their professionalism at the bargaining table, and to both negotiating teams for their dedication and hard work toward reaching an agreement."

The TWU Local 549 will share details of the tentative agreement directly to the membership in the coming weeks.

We hope so too. Might have details by Monday.

What are they doing, Still writing it?

They started last summer. I think it took a little longer because the two (US/AA) agreements were very different. Almost every article had major differences. So maybe 10 months.

When the details come out, we will share. Should give you an idea of what the company is willing to do. I've heard the Delta plus 3 is there for sure. Not sure about the other 4 percent everyone else got Dec 2014

Any word on what options if any with the IAMPF? Keep 401K match or lose it to the IAMPF or have a choice?

Bogey the 4% is built in to the 3% above Delta. Remember Parker originally gave that 4% because Delta had gone up by 4% Then Delta went up by 14% for non Union groups but cut the PS in half, now bringing you up to whatever Delta is plus at least 3%

The 4% is part of a total of 18% from when it started to go up.

Does UAL have a contract currently for their Dispatchers? If not I hope you have at least a one time "True Up" in your TA like the FA's have for UAL when they get a contract?

UAL just got a ta about a month ago. Believe ours will be a bit better.

We are not part of the IAMPF. We are just staying with the 401k match.

Admittedly a very good question. Even though the Dispatchers are not part of the IAM the agreement did state that the Dispachers would be included in the push for the IAMPF.

This should be very interesting to watch for? Were the people negotiating for this group obliged to try and put in a huge effort to get the IAMPF?

Sorry I was writing while you were writing. So no IAMPF for you? Are you sure?

Did your negotiators ask for it?
