The 2011 Depression

Anybody that says this is a thriving economy is a degenerate. Meanwhile the poor are even poorer under Obummer and we have doubled the number of people on food stamps.

Especially those that work for airlines. Or other huge growth sectors. Oh wait...

If that would only trickle down to the working class...oh wait

It took 7 years for W to get things as bad as they were, from a vibrant thriving economy with a healthy surplus and decreasing debt to the verge of a total financial meltdown, preceded by years of deficits and increasing debt taken on to fund tax cuts for the rich and an adventure in forcing his views on another people.

It has taken 7 years for O to bring them back to the verge of recovery

Hey!

That's even a biblical cycle, for all you who dig that sorta' thing 😉

(Not that one man, or woman someday, is responsible for the entire world's economy...)

Thats pretty much a bunch of poppycock.

What did Franklin Raines and Barney Frank have  to do with toxic housing loans?

Obama’s unwillingness to take responsibility before holding full authority doesn’t match other decisions made at that time. We know from David Axelrod’s book that the Obama transition did urge the Bush administration to provide TARP loans to GM and Chrysler to keep them in business. So it was OK to help auto companies prior to Inauguration Day, just not homeowners.
In the end, the Obama transition wrote a letter promising to get to the foreclosure relief later, if Congress would only pass the second tranche of TARP funds. Congress fulfilled its obligation, and the Administration didn’t. The promised foreclosure mitigation efforts failed to help, and in many cases abjectly hurt homeowners.

In baseball terms, we’re in the seventh or eighth inning of the crisis. And Barney Frank detailed how the president-elect had the opportunity to call the game and fix the problem much earlier, which he turned down. You’d think someone would have noticed.

So what you are admitting to is that trickle down economics does not work.  Only a fool would think otherwise.

Poppycock?

Just generally what it looks(ed) like from over here

"Not that one man... ... Is (solely...) responsible for the world's economy"

Did ya' notice that part?

Close a major employer in a town and see how trickle down economics used to work when all those dependent upon that factory in that town now have lost income related to the operation of that company.

How dare the local employer shut down because of high taxes! Doesn't that employer know, he in business solely to provide jobs?

That's not what trickle down means.  Look at Kansas if you want to see a trickle down 'success' story.

While your at it check out Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburg and all the other slums and see what voting Dumacrat can do for you.

What does that have to do with trickle down?

All this babbling about a failed prediction 4 years later.

It happened, the left just sugar coated it and looked the other way. If the standard for qualifying for food stamps wasn't lowered and you couldn't collect unemployment forever, there would have been live broadcasts from the soup kitchen, people on the streets, etc.

Perception is everything.

Yep. The conspiracy of the decade is the hidden 2011 depression. Even the best and brightest economists, scholars, lame stream media, fox news, fox business news, wall street, nasdaq, the airlines, the majority of us markets, etc., all managed to hide it from all of us dumb ass pumpkins. We only have business and finance degress (from librul colleges, duh).

The only people who got it right were on this forum and certain talk show hosts I assume.
