Moderator,..this is NOT an attempt to circumvent a "Closed Topic", honestly it's not.

Coming off of the closed topic "DL to start low cost fares from DTW to Florida", I'd like to make these points especially about Detroit.
First off, DTW is not really a DL orig/dest airport. They inherited it from NW.
I feel fairly certain that the DL agents in ATL run a resonable "tight ship" as it applies to boarding procedures, oversized bags, attempts to "change seats" etc.

What DL will definitely Discover(as they launch the DTW thing)...Is that DETROIT(compared to ATL) is like discovering that your on a DIFFERENT PLANET !!!!!!!!!!!

When a "beef" ensue's over Oversized bags, attemped Seat changes, or confusion on board the A/C, one would find that the passenger causing the commotion, the gate agent, and the Cop the gate agent summoned(IMO for "show") have a LOT in common ! 🙄

In summary, IMO DL is making a HUGE Boo-Boo with this endeavor because of DTW.
Keep in mind also, Abdul and Said from Dearborn won't put up with any shite, especially after they initially followed the rules.

you're 100% right about the culture of the locals in DTW vs. ATL. the sad thing is that DL employees at DTW are becoming more and more like DL employees in ATL. this may not be a bad thing overall, but there was something, an attitude, or a fung shui, which NW had at DTW that now DL seems to be losing. too bad.

Sorry..............we don't do Fung Shui in the south.............we just get the job done !

Pretty much like all of your other ramblings, the fact is that your opinion is totally idiotic. And yes, this is an attempt to restart a close topic 😛

Southwest move on airtran had little to do with ATL in my opinion. It was all about eliminating a competitor on the east coast .

I'm not sure what he is even on about.
