The last time I checked, it was a Crime to yell FIRE in a crowed theater !

The following Tri-conspiritors should be charged with yelling/starting (a) FIRE.

1. MEDIA for christ. They applied for the permit for the film.

2. Alan Roberts. Alan, a soft PORN dude Directed the film.

3. Steven Klein. Ol' STEVE is an ANTI-Muslim/Vietnam vet. He was a consultant.

Oh hell no. Sorry Bear but that is a bad bad bad bad idea in my opinion. That slope is way to slippery for me.

Freedom of speech is a fundamental right out lined in the COTUS. I can think of very few instances where that freedom should be abridged. The fire analogy is very specific. Yelling fire can cause an immediate reaction for self preservation. The threat of a real fire is something that will cause direct and immediate harm if one does not take action.

We have the right granted by the COTUS to piss off pretty much anyone we choose to. The ACLU just filed suit to allow the KKK to claim a strip of street to clean and have their name on a road sign. It's a 1st/14th issue cut and dry. Do you want to ban that too?

A video does not even come close to that same threat level. You can turn off a video. You can change the channel, cut the power or just plain ignore it.

This movie is disgusting, vile, antagonistic and a host of other adjectives but it is legal under the law and I would do nothing to change that. The fact that a bunch of loons went off the deep end is irrelevant to the conversation of law.

If we start banning stuff where does it stop? I know I do not want to find out.
 
Anyone can put Christ (or Islam) in their title.

It doesn't mean they follow any religion.

perhaps you should contact whatever moderator you conned into unbanning you into deleting both these threads to keep you from further embarrassing yourself.

just stick to ranting about how good Obama is for us,at least you have company in that area.

Ultimately 'Tree you're right of course, and in the back of my mind I knew that.

In .....'THIS'....... country(as I've opined a zillion times) THE most DANGEROUS people we will EVER run up against are Religious FANATICS and Blind PATRIOTS !

Shame the OP doesn't agree that freedom is our greatest possession.

Too often, the left says the right is "intolerant." See the OP for Exhibit A that the left isn't always very tolerant either.

The fact is, it has nothing to do with the film. These guys simply hate Western culture, and that includes a lot of stuff that the Dems and Libs champion. Go ask anyone in North Africa how they feel about abortion, gay marriage, or leaving God out of the party platform.....

I agree that they hate the US. I believe they hate the US as well as most other western culture because they are ignorant of it.

You are also right that they hate the idea of equality for all people regardless of their belief. Surely you are not advocating a US government that would restrict equal rights from it's citizens. That would be what most of the countries in the ME and Africa do.

Would you be happy with Christianity being the official religion of the US? How do you justify banning abortion, equal marriage, and including God (which God is the right God by the way) without basing it on religion?

I am proud to be labeled a liberal if they are the ones who champion the rights of all, even those we disagree with such as the ACLU supporting the rights of the KKK to host a street clean up. When is the last time a conservative legal group stood up for the KKK or anyone else not aligned with their interests?

BTW, why don't you ask anyone one in the ME how they feel about Christianity. Do you think they like you any more than they like the idea of abortion, gays or anything else not sanctioned by the Bible/Koran?
