We get the best government we deserve. If NY elects Weiner, have at it. The guy is weird in my opinion. Nothing illegal but I do not understand why NY would elect this putz any more than I understand how Sanford got reelected.

Funny, because NY is your libtard state. HillBilly got elected because lets face it, they love Bill and Hillary was riding on some powerful coattails! That is why Spitzer is going to run for Comptroller. I find it funny that with a name like Weiner, everybody is surprised.
BTW, it seems 700 is missing in action, perhaps he should stick with what he knows at US/AA!

Right now there are three peices of #### in the current news cycle. They are all democrats. The mayor of San Diego, who is a sick narcissist who is completely clueless as to his problem.
We have Elliot Spitzer, who championed the prosecution of prostitution, while hiring prostitutes.
Then we have Anthony (Carlos Danger) Wiener, who is in complete denial. The NYC voters will toss him aside, as they should.
Republicans have never had a lock on this behavior. The one thing they have done is to run political campaigns on eliminating this type of behavior, while engaging in it.
I do know one thing. We continue to damn our elected officials and hold them to high standards that many cannot meet. How many of you out there are willing to put your entire life under the microscope to run for office? I am saying everything you have ever done. That is the new reality with the internet revolution.
Take that and give it tho the yellow journalists out there that are called MSM (and yes, that includes Fox News).

IIRC, one of the tenants of getting a Top Secret clearance is a proclivity to beak the law and promiscuity.
There are reasons for that as once a deviant behavior or law breaking is found the clearance can be revoked.

I think Weiner is the only inocent one out of the bunch. He did nothing illegal. Immoral, up to the individual. Spitzer prosecuted prostitution at the same time while he was contracting for their services. Hypocritical as well as illegal and yet never served time. Go figure.
The yutz from San Diego needs to be brought up on charges but one of his victims needs to file suit. Till then he is not guilty of a crime. I saw this yahoo on the news today and he admitted he did some bad things and he is going to get counceling. OH joy.
I do not think expecting a representative to abide by the law is too high a standard (OK, for politicians may be but come on) as for Weiner that's a moral standard. Personally I do not care what he does with his phoine or who he sends pictures to. I am currious why his wife is standing by him. I'm guessing money or power. I don't see how it can be love unless she has no pride or self worth.

The San Diego Mayor, Filner, has been targeted by Gloria Allred in one suit now. The city and him will end up paying for sexual deviancy and harrasment. The guy is 70 and he really wants all to beleive that he is going to 2 weeks of counseling and be better. You think he might have learned that what he has done is against the law and immoral.
To xUT's comment: I don't excuse anyone for breaking the law. The creme de le creme all have great jobs elsewhere and don't want the hassle that they have to go through with elected public service. There are some who are willing to step up, only to get smacked down by an electorate whose attention gets diverted by shiny objects.

I saw that earlier along with his campaign manager exiting, stage left. I don't think he is even worth mentioning any longer. He is toast.
I can see his wife dumping him soon after his political career and camera crew vaporize.
