Mary Ellen Norton-Hayes,(AA f/a) and her family have been featured on many of the reports from Bridgeton. She is one of those wonderful people that NEVER have an unkind word to say about others or "situations". She has maintained a sense of humor. feels blessed that no one was harmed, and her airline family are throwing her a "tornado shower".

As we see the devastation in Al. and other southern states, those of us in Bridgeton and Maryland Heights again feel so lucky.

I'm glad to hear that no deaths occurred in the St. Louis area. Unfortunately, many people lost their homes and all their possessions which is still quite traumatic. It's my understanding that Mary Ellen wasn't the only person in her immediate family who lost their home. I'm glad to hear she has such an upbeat and positive drive.

When disaster strikes, so many people at once need assistance obtaining basic needs. The first and best way you can help is by giving a monetary donation to the local Red Cross in St. Louis: http://www.redcrossstl.org/ In addition to money, they may also be seeking certain donated items as well. It's best to check what they need before you donate. This way your material donated items can best be utilized.

You are correct. Cody and Sean, Terry and Mary Ellen's sons lived across the cul de sac. Their home was a total loss also.
