transfer xpress to mainline

how hard or easy is it to transfer from express ramp to mainline ramp? would this be internal or external and have to apply online and do the whole training again.

All you have to do is fax a PE-66 form in for the city you want to transfer to. As for training if you worked mainline before you dont have to go thru the 5 day training course. As for applying on line you dont have to do that. Just place a PE-66 transfer in a fax and fax it away. Good luck.

The PE-66 only applies if you are still on the books as a Mainline employee on leave or furlough. There is no such thing as a "transfer" from Express to Mainline otherwise. You are basically a new hire employee, and must go thru the same hiring process as anyone else. Sadly, this includes all of those who are employed by the W/O's as well since there is no type of a flow-thru process in place.

Yes you must resign at Piedmont and apply for US AIRWAYS. You would be a new employee at MAINLINE but your orginial senority would be retained for flying benefits only. So new training for Mainline and start over. Even get a new ID.

wierd at my station their was a mainline guy working both he was full time at mainline part time at express.
